Company donates iPads to local school
Dublin People 07 Mar 2015PUPILS at a Northside school were delighted to receive a donation of 10 iPads from a global information services company.
Experian, which is headquartered in Dublin, donated the iPads to Our Lady Immaculate School Senior National School (SNS), Darndale, to further support its drive to engage and enthuse pupils in online learning, particularly about money.
The school was the first in Ireland to adopt
‘Values, Money and Me’, a free online teaching resource designed to help primary school pupils explore both practical and emotional issues around managing money.
Derry Amphlett, Principal of Our Lady Immaculate SNS, said technology-assisted teaching is an innovative and effective vehicle for primary learning.
“Our work with Experian has assisted us in putting financial education in place in the school, and adapts it to suit our needs and objectives,
? said Mr Amphlett.
“We really appreciate this latest contribution of technological resources, which our teachers and pupils will find very valuable and informative.
