Alcohol-free fun in Temple Bar for this St Patrick’s Day
Dublin People 07 Mar 2015
A DRINK-FREE zone featuring a feast of exciting cultural acts is being set up in Temple Bar for St Patrick’s Day.

Paddy’s Day Unlocked takes place at Meeting House Square between 3-7pm and there’ll be lots happening including speakers, food, crafts and music.
Organised by Happenings – who run instant pop up cultural events around Dublin and Limerick – in association with Dublin City Council, the idea is to transform the square into a buzzing
‘beerless’ bunker packed with creativity and culture.
Music curated by Nialler9 will include performances by Ensemble riu, Jinx Lennon, Sinéad White and Hare Squead while delicious food, healthy goodies and inspiring words will be provided by The Happy Pear.
Paddy’s Day Unlocked has more than a touch of irony and boldness about it and it’s the brainchild of Happenings founder Peter O’Brien.
“This isn’t an anti-booze event,
? he said.
“Happenings love a party, sure we’re Irish!
“Paddy’s Day Unlocked is simply providing a cultural space showcasing the best of Irish talent as an alternative to getting
‘locked’.
