Canada calls for model Tia

TOP plus size model Tia Duffy is looking forward to being under the spotlight later this year when she jets off to Canada.

The stunning curvy model from Finglas has already strutted her stuff in Capetown, the UK and New York where she came within a whisker of signing a contract worth $250,000 a year.

Tia, a former teacher at St Michael’s in Finglas, is once again broadening her horizons and plans to shoot a documentary based around the plus size fashion industry with Irish director Jenny McQuaile when she gets to Canada.

McQuaile has worked with actors such as Susan Sarandon, Naomi Watts and Steven Soderbergh and Tia is really looking forward to hooking up with her.

Tia’s first big break came when she entered a competition to find a curvy model on TV3’s Expose show.

Her face was chosen for the Expose website and modelling jobs started rolling in.

Tia is keen to pass on what she’s learned during her career and has spoken at local schools around North Dublin to inform young students about body image.
