Greek PM’s visit to Darndale recalled

THE newly elected Prime Minister of Greece was probably the most talked about man in the world last week.

Local Sinn Fein councillor Larry O’Toole recalled meeting Alexis Tsipras during a walkabout in Darndale last summer.

“The election of the first anti-austerity Government in Europe is a serious game changer,

“When Alexis Tsipras and the Syriza party commence their negotiations, the hopes of the Irish people will be with them.

“We need a European Debt conference and a write down of the unjust debt imposed on our people.
