Yates to host gala
Dublin People 23 Jan 2015
CONTROVERSIAL broadcaster Ivan Yates will be hosting this year’s Fighting Blindness’ Annual Sporting Gala Dinner on Saturday, January 31 in the Conrad Hotel.

Fighting Blindness is a patient-led charity that represents the voice of 224,000 people affected by sight loss in Ireland.
Its vision is to cure blindness, support people living with sight loss, and empower patients. This is the 13th year of the popular event which brings legends from various sports together to discuss their insights and expertise, and offers guests a unique opportunity to hear their thoughts on the upcoming sporting season.
As master of ceremonies, Mr Yates will ensure that the panel of sports stars and heroes are interviewed about their various skills and expert opinions, with a Q&A section included at the end for guests.
The Gala Dinner also offers an opportunity for Fighting Blindness to thank its supporters and present the
‘Empower’ award, a special honour given to those who help the charity with its mission to cure, support and empower those affected by sight loss.
