Sixty new jobs fly in to McDonald’s

A NEW

?¬2 million McDonald’s restaurant at Dublin Airport officially opened last week, creating 60 new jobs in the process.
The new dual lane drive-thru restaurant, open 24/7, is based on the main exit road from Dublin Airport, close to both the M1 and M50.
The new jobs are part of the latest phase in the fast-food giant’s expansion plans that include a commitment to create 700 new jobs and open 12 new restaurants in Ireland by the end of 2015.
McDonald’s Ireland MD Adrian Crean said the company was

? to expand its presence at the airport.
“We are also delighted to welcome 60 new enthusiastic local staff to the McDonald’s team and we look forward to serving customers from all over Ireland as they pass through the airport here in Dublin,
? he added.
Managing Director of Dublin Airport Authority, Vincent Harrison, welcomed the announcement.
“We have had a good relationship with McDonald’s since they opened in Terminal 1 in 2000,
? he said.
“This new drive-thru restaurant is a great addition to the airport and a fantastic option for passengers exiting the airport campus.
“The restaurant is bright, inviting and has embraced modern lifestyles with free Wi-Fi and iPads for customers to use. It’s already proving to be very popular with both passengers and airport staff.

President of Fingal Chamber of Commerce, Siobhan Kinsella, also welcomed the new McDonald’s team to the area on behalf of the local business community.

The restaurant is the first two storey drive-thru McDonald’s in Ireland.
The interior design is themed
‘Airport Lounge’ and is the first time this scheme has been implemented in a McDonald’s drive-thru restaurant globally.
