Waste company staff return dumped cash

HONEST staff at a waste management centre in Finglas have returned a large sum of money found accidently dumped in a skip.

The money belonged to a local woman who was clearing out her late father’s house and had inadvertently put

?¬2,775 in to the skip along with the rubbish to be taken away.

The skip was taken away and the money later found by staff at Panda Waste Management Centre in Cappagh.

The recycling facility workers set about tracing the owner and the woman, who wished not to be named, was contacted with the good news.

“When Panda contacted me, I couldn’t believe that they had found the money and had the honesty to call me,

? she said.

“I am very impressed with the company, fair play to them. I am going to let everyone know about their honesty.

Panda Waste spokesperson, Brian McCabe, said:

“We are delighted we could help get the money back to the rightful owner.

“Well done to all the staff involved who found it, for letting the management know.
