A BLANCHARDSTOWN based hi-tech firm has been chosen to Represent Ireland in the European Business Awards for the second year running.

Agile Networks, which builds and supports complex IT networks, has already been selected as a National Champion for the

‘Business of the Year’ award.

Last year the company was selected as one of ten European finalists in the

‘Award for Customer Focus’ in what’s known as the Ruban d’Honneur stage of European Business Awards.

And they’re back again this year, competing head-to-head against top European companies in the

‘Business of the Year’ award category.

The European Business Awards is an independent awards programme, designed to recognise and promote excellence, best practice and innovation in the European business community and it’s open to organisations of all sizes and sectors.

Managing Director with Agile Networks, Darragh Richardson, said it was a great honour to be selected as a National Champion for the second year running.

“It’s a great honour for our business and reaffirms our belief in innovation, technical excellence, and, above all else, customer focus,

? he added.

“We’re proud to be flying the flag for Ireland and its technology sector on a European stage. We’d like to wish all the other Irish nominees the very best of luck in the next round.

CEO of the European Business Awards, Adrian Tripp, congratulated the company on its achievement.

“We wish them luck in the next stage,

? he added.

“The European Business Awards is going from strength to strength, inspiring businesses to greater success and helping to improve the competitive edge of companies across Europe.

Agile Networks was set up in 2011 after Richardson and several senior members of the management team successfully staged a management buy-out of Telindus’ Irish operations.

Since then, the company has trebled its staff and grown revenues by an average of 105 per cent per year over its first three years of business.

With blue chip clients across 1,200 sites throughout Ireland, over 1.2 million people rely on Agile Networks to support their IT network.

This year the company was also voted

‘Reseller of the Year’ at the 2014 Tech Excellence Awards and won the

‘Emerging New Business Award’ at the 2014 SFA National Business Awards.
