New recruits ‘pass out’ in Marino
Dublin People 26 Apr 2014
TWENTY-FIVE Dublin Fire Brigade recruits have successfully completed their training and participated in the Recruit Passing-out Parade at the Dublin Fire Brigade Training Centre, Marino, recently.
The recruits demonstrated some of the skills they have developed over the course of their training including an exercise in fire discipline and road traffic collisions. The Dublin Fire Brigade Pipe Band also performed at the ceremony.
Lord Mayor of Dublin Oisin Quinn, who attended the event, said:
“The calibre of the recruits passing out is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the instructors and the recruits themselves.
“Dublin Fire Brigade provides a vital service for the city and county of Dublin and I have no doubt that all 25 new firefighters joining the ranks of DFB will continue to uphold that proud service.
