Stepaside hosts Black belt TaeKwon-Do expert

ONE of Ireland’s highest graded TaeKwon-Do experts, Master Val Douglas (8th Degree Black belt) hosted a Black Belt Demonstration at Rosemont School, Enniskerry Road in Stepaside recently.

The event featured senior and junior Black belt members demonstrating their technical moves including a spectacular range of kicks and punches, patterns and sparring associated with TaeKwon-Do.
Korean in origin, TaeKwon-Do is famous for its range of kicks and punches. The study of TaeKwon-Do aims not only to develop the student physically, but mentally also, creating a well-rounded and balanced individual through the teaching of the tenets of TaeKwon-Do – Courtesy, Integrity, Perseverance, Self-Control and Indomitable Spirit.
The TaeKwon-Do school in Rosemont School serves Stepaside, Kilternan, Sandyford and Dundrum and hosts classes for adults, children (from eight upwards), beginners, teenagers and a
‘Little Dragons’ (6pm each Friday) for children aged 5-8 years.
