A YOUNG engaged Dublin couple got the

“best Christmas present ever

? when they scooped

?¬100,000 in a Christmas Millionaire Raffle.

The New Year got off to a great start for Lauren Doyle and Patrick O’Sullivan after Lauren’s aunt gave the couple the lucky ticket for Christmas.

“It’s the best Christmas present ever,

? said Lauren.

“We got engaged in November so this will definitely help with the wedding.

?

The winning ticket number (098 894) was bought in the Post Office, Bank Place in Ennis, Co Clare on Thursday, December 19.

A second ticket worth

?¬100,000 was also sold in Ennis. The winning ticket number (005 294) was sold in O’Dowds, Turnpike Road on Saturday, November 9.

So far the winner or winners have not made contact with the National Lottery.

The holder of the

?¬1 million winning ticket has yet to claim the prize but all winners have 90 days from the day of the draw to collect a prize.

The Christmas Millionaire Raffle draw took place on Tuesday, December 31 and 2,236 cash prizes ranging from e1 million to

?¬500 were won in the draw.

Meanwhile, Robert Kiernan from Tallaght spent Christmas at home with his family after he was one of 15 lucky winners to be flown to Ireland from Toronto in Canada by Gala Retail in celebration of its 15th anniversary and The Gathering.
