Friends fundraise in memory of Mikey

FOLLOWING the tragic passing of popular windsurfer Mikey Clancy in January, a group of his friends set about raising funds for Pieta House in his memory.

Maebh O’Shea, Sophie Rooney, Colin Perkins and Alan Fulton organised a charity auction, and friends raised funds with a Bravado Concert and by completing a triathlon.

Marie Peelo, from Pieta House, thanked all those who organised and contributed to the fundraising effort at the formal presentation of a cheque for e21,000 at Dollymount beach where the late Mikey Clancy used to windsurf.
