Amanda’s ‘hired’ for cheque presentation

FINGLAS native Amanda Brunker was

‘hired’ last week for a photocall where she handed over a cheque for
?¬25,000 to St Michael’s House, Ballymun.
The popular TV personality won the money on the Celebrity Apprentice show where she finished runner-up in the competition.
Amanda made the presentation to Patricia Doherty, chief executive of St Michael’s House, at a ceremony last Wednesday (November 6).
The generous donation will to where it is needed most, with
?¬10,000 going directly towards refurbishing the Shanowen Unit, where Amanda’s stepsister, Deirdre, resides.
“The money is going to give the house a total makeover, and if I’m honest, it has made all the hard work worth it for me,
? Amanda said.
“The remaining
?¬15,000 will go to purchase an eight-seater bus that will be used between the Omni Employment Centre and Santry Hall.

St Michael’s House provides a range of specialised services to over 1,600 children and adults with an intellectual disability and their families through 170 community based centres in the greater Dublin area.
Patricia Doherty expressed gratitude to Amanda for choosing the charity for the donation.
