Dublin People 02 Nov 2013
BALDOYLE United were recently given the opportunity to play on the hallowed turf of Dalymount Park when they took on Bohs’ Leinster Senior League Under 19 team.

The match was held to raise funds for Baldoyle who won the game 4-2 with goals from Frank Grant (2), Mark Cromwell and Daragh McGee (penalty).
This season, Baldoyle are fielding two senior teams in the AUL, and an over 35s team in the Amateur League.
Chairperson of the club’s committee, Dermot Penrose, recently appointed Gerry Reddy as senior team manager.
“Gerry brings a wealth of experience in both junior and senior football to the club,
? said Mr Penrose.
“He is relishing the challenge in helping restore Baldoyle United to past glories.
“Baldoyle United’s superb facilities will always attract quality players. We have a high quality private pitch, our own floodlit all-weather pitch and our own clubhouse.
“Our new pitches at Racecourse Park complement these facilities.
Mr Penrose added:
“As a signal of intent by the club to become the leading community club in Dublin North East, we have recently replaced the floodlights on our all-weather pitch and have plans to upgrade the gym area, specifically to meet players’ needs.
?
Mr Reddy said he is very confident that the 2013 management team is providing the experience and the quality coaching, which has attracted good quality players to the club.
“Over the last two months we have rebuilt our senior teams and they are now in a position to compete at the highest levels again,
? he stated.
