Amanda to present Celebrity Apprentice cheque
Dublin People 02 Nov 2013
FINGLAS native Amanda Brunker will present her

?¬25,000 winnings from Celebrity Apprentice to her chosen charity, St Michael’s House, in Ballymun this week.
Amanda will make the presentation to St Michael’s House CEO Patricia Doherty on Wednesday (November 6) at the charity’s headquarters on Ballymun Road.
The generous donation will go to where it is needed most, with
?¬10,000 going directly to refurbish the Shanowen Unit, where Amanda’s stepsister Deirdre resides.
“The money is going to give the house a total make-over and if I’m honest it has made all the hard work worth it for me,
? Amanda said.
“The remaining
?¬15,000 will go to purchase an eight-seater bus that will be used between the Omni Employment Centre and Santry Hall.
?
St Michael’s House provides a range of specialised services to over 1,600 children and adults with an intellectual disability and their families through 170 community based centres in the greater Dublin area.
CEO Patricia Doherty expressed gratitude to Amanda for choosing the charity for the donation.
“We would like to thank Amanda Brunker for all her hard work raising the e25,000 for St Michael’s House,
? she said.
“We are grateful for her continuous support and her generosity and thank her for doing such a good job raising awareness of our work throughout the series.
?
Amanda won the money across three episodes. She got
?¬5,000 from Carling Molson and Coors in episode two;
?¬5,000 from Clearbraces.ie last week in episode five;
?¬10,000 from Caroline Downey Desmond across both these episodes; and finally a further
?¬5,000 from DoneDeal.ie during the final.
