TEN unsigned Irish music artists will be given a chance to record a studio session with renowned music producer Rob Kirwan this November.

Rob has worked as sound engineer, mixer and producer with artists such as U2, PJ Harvey, Editors, Soulwax, Gary Numan and more recently Delorentos and BellX1 and on the recent Depeche Mode album

‘Delta Machine’.

He will work with the winners of an exciting new project, the Budweiser Future Sounds of Irish Music, to help unlock their sounds and offer them the experience of a renowned music expert.

“The Budweiser Future Sounds of Irish Music project is a great opportunity for unsigned acts to take a step forward, produce a great track and get noticed,

? he said.

“Many artists don’t know how to make a really good recording so I want to take the time to listen to their music, help unlock their sound and ensure the best possible track is produced on the day.

The winners of the competition will be given the chance to bring their music to a wider audience by spending a day in a purpose built recording studio in Dublin city centre with Rob, who will produce, mix and master one track from each band over 10 days.

Each band will also get a photo shoot and a video of their experience produced by video/photo journalist Des Foley, who recently won the Budweiser Dream Job project.

All bands will also perform a live acoustic set and be interviewed on Phantom FM to showcase their talents. They will also receive promotion and airplay of their professionally produced track on Phantom FM, in Hot Press and across Budweiser and project partner social media sites.

Interested music artists can register and send the track they want produced via the Budweiser Facebook page until November 7.

Hot Press and Phantom FM, along with Rob, will listen to all submitted music and then choose the 10 artists that they find most inspiring.

A former pharmacy on George’s Street in Dublin 2 is being transformed into a state of the art custom built studio where the winning artists will record their tracks between November 18 and 29.
