Local band set for the good life
Dublin People 19 Oct 2013
A LOCAL band that was only formed this year has announced a series of gigs which will take place around Dublin over the next few weeks.
‘Goodlife’ is a two-piece acoustic based band comprised of Liam Geddes (piano/vocals) and Paul McCormack (guitar/backing vocals).
Multi instrumentalist Liam started off performing and songwriting from an early age. Originally from Ballina, he has lived on the Northside of Dublin over the last few years.
He is most recognisable from being a live finalist on
‘The Voice of Ireland’ in 2012 where he was mentored by Kian Egan. He was also among the final six in Eurosong 2008 and was the youngest and highest placed Irish contestant at X Factor 2007.
Paul McCormack has had countless success in both original and cover bands for over 20 years.
The Baldoyle native met Liam this year to set up
‘Goodlife’. The band play music right from the
’70s to the chart hits we hear on the radio today – anything from Elvis Costello, Madness, Wham, Aha, Cindy Lauper, The Script, U2 and even some Rhianna!
The band has an energy and mix of musical genres. From Paul’s superb guitar playing to Liam’s high- flying vocals, you don’t want to miss a
‘Goodlife’ show!
The gigs started last Saturday night (October 19) at the Horse and Hound Pub, Artane, and will continue at the Village Inn, Clondalkin (November 9), The Metzo, Ballymun (November 16), The Village Inn, Finglas (November 30), Paidi Ogs, Mulhuddart (December 7) and The Metzo, Ballymun (December 21).
