CHILDREN’S television presenter Diana Bunici has spoken of her pride to help the annual Team Hope Christmas Shoebox Appeal.

Coming from Moldova, a recipient country of the Shoebox Appeal, she has warm memories of filling her own shoeboxes when she moved to Ireland when she was eight.
“I’m absolutely honoured and thrilled to support Team Hope’s Christmas Shoebox Appeal this festive season,
? she said.
“I have so many fond memories of filling my own shoeboxes over the years and I’ve been extremely privileged to see for myself how much joy such a simple gift can bring into a child’s life.
“My heart fills with pride knowing Irish people get on board every Christmas to help spread some light and make a small difference.
Diana was peaking as she joined forces with Team Hope to launch the Christmas Shoebox Appeal.
Team Hope is calling on schools, families, communities and businesses across Dublin to help turn just another day in a child’s life into something special.
People are asked to wrap an old shoebox with Christmas paper, fill it with gifts for a child, attach e4 and bring it to any of the 300 drop off points across the country before November 11.
Team Hope is aiming to deliver 200,000 shoeboxes from Ireland into the hands of needy children in Africa, the former Soviet Union and Eastern Europe, whose families typically live on less than e1 per day.
This year, seven new countries have asked for shoeboxes and for many children, it is the only Christmas present they will receive.
