SENATOR David Norris was guest of honour at this year’s annual Humanities Week at ITB in Dublin 15, which took place earlier this month.

The festivities began with a colourful parade on Tuesday, March 12, and included two days of interesting debates, lectures and workshops all designed to celebrate the human condition.

Over 80 students from ITB’s Early Childhood Care & Education and Social and Community courses and staff from the Humanities Department took part in the events that featured several special guests.

Dr Celesta McCann James, Head of Department of ITB, said Humanities Week was something everybody at ITB looked forward to every year.

“It’s wonderful to see the wide variety of activities on campus to celebrate Humanities,

? she said.

“This annual event has captured the imagination of both staff and students at ITB and is a marvellous opportunity to showcase their work in imaginative and creative ways. The exciting guests we have at ITB add an extra dimension to the proceedings.
