Cycle challenge raises staggering sum

Of all the fundraisers that took place in 2012 one in particular stood out.

In September a group of cycling enthusiasts left Dublin for Paris to raise funds for Special Olympics and Cerebral Palsy Sport Ireland.

The Paris2Nice Cycle Challenge saw the group of 65 take on a gruelling 6-day cycle challenge covering a distance of 700kms from Paris to Nice.

?¬500,000 in sponsorship recently presented a cheque to representatives of Special Olympics Ireland, Special Olympics Europe/Eurasia and Cerebral Palsy Sport Ireland.
