THERE was a real festive feeling at PayPal in Blanchardstown earlier this month when the company held a special Christmas Fair at its facility in Ballycoolin Business Park.

Local retailers and businesses were invited by global e-commerce firm to exhibit at the fair which was attended by many of the company’s 1,800 employees.
A total of 21 local businesses participated in the festive market selling Christmas gifts and goodies to PayPal employees at discounted prices. The three day initiative, which was run for the second time this Christmas, is the part company’s community programme.
Louise Phelan, Vice President of Global Operations, Europe, Middle East and Africa for PayPal explained the significance of the event.
“We are delighted to give some of our local businesses and customers of PayPal the chance to promote and sell their products to our employees,
? she said.
“Now more than ever we need to work together as a community to drive business success and there’s no better time than Christmas to do just that. The event was a great success; our team thoroughly enjoyed the three days and we look forward to more events like this in the future.
