Dublin People 08 Dec 2012
NEW boy band Level 5 are in a battle for the number 1 slot this Christmas with the Irish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children’s (ISPCC) charity single featuring Mary Byrne.

Shane Thornton (Donaghmede), Darren Regazzoli (Malahide), Dean Gibbons (Tallaght), Jason Cafolla (Stepaside) and Chris Leonard (Clondalkin) joined XFactor sensation Mary Byrne at the recent Childline concert held in the 02.
The band, which recently appeared on the Arts Show on Coolock-based radio station NEAR FM, released their new Christmas single on November 30, a cover of the old Shakin’ Stevens classic ‘Merry Christmas Everyone’.
Mary Byrne did a duet with the boys for the song, which is expected to be a hit, just like it was all those years ago. The single is now available on iTunes.
Level 5, who will go head-to-head with XFactor giants in their battle for the number 1 slot, are Ireland’s hottest new pop act.
Having already preformed to thousands across Ireland through selected events including 1D Niall Horan’s 19th birthday bash, the lads were overwhelmed to be asked to perform in the O2 at the Childline concert.
With a solid fan base of dedicated
‘ Levelers’, the boys are determined to achieve success.
With everything to gain, 2013 looks set to be a banner year for an emerging Level 5. They are the focus of their own fly-on-the-wall TV documentary
‘The Rise of Level 5’ which is set to air on TV3 in the new year.
To coincide with the TV show there are commitments to release a single and with talent in abundance they will also be writing their own songs with top songwriters from Ireland and across Europe.
Backed by a solid team, there will be no stopping Level 5 as they undertake a nationwide Irish tour in early 2013 with further dates coming soon.
