Nando’s to create new jobs
Dublin People 03 Nov 2012
TWO new Nando’s restaurants in Blanchardstown and Liffey Valley will create 100 jobs when they open for business next month.

Nando’s, which specialises in Portuguese flame-grilled chicken, already has five outlets in the Republic of Ireland and employs over 380 people.
Managing Director of Nando’s Ireland, Alan Snyman, said the company was excited about the new restaurants.
“Finding the right site is never easy, but after exploring a number of different locations, we decided on Liffey Valley and Blanchardstown, both vibrant, busy locations with excellent footfall,
? he said.
“The addition of 100 new full and part-time jobs demonstrates our commitment to Ireland and represents good news for Nando’s and the local communities we serve.
“We’ve been really impressed by the standard of the applicants in Ireland, and almost all of the roles are now filled. Having a strong, enthusiastic team in Ireland ensures that customers will have the best Nando’s experience possible, which has been central to our success here.

Dublin West TD and Minister for Transport, Tourism & Sport Leo Varadkar said the jobs would provide a welcome boost to the area.
“Nandos is an international success story and it’s great to be able to welcome the chain to the area,
? he said.
“I’m particularly happy to see new jobs being created in the restaurant sector. The Government’s Jobs Initiative last year introduced a special nine per cent VAT rate for hospitality and tourism businesses, including restaurants.
“Since then, the number of people employed in the hospitality sector has risen by more than 6,000, and by more than 10,000 since the general election.
