New Boots extension creates 12 jobs

BOOTS Ireland has created 12 new jobs with the official opening of a major extension at its store in Swords.

Located in the Pavilions Shopping Centre, the store has expanded from 525 to 750 square metres.

The new jobs bring the total number of employees at the store to 62.

Speaking at the extension opening, Debbie Smith, Managing Director, Boots Ireland said:

“The unveiling of this major extension of our Swords store is testament to the loyalty of our customers in the locality who are visiting in increasing numbers, as well as the commitment of management and staff.

“We are looking forward to catering for people’s pharmacy and beauty product needs in an accessible, friendly environment that delivers excellence in customer care.

Participating in the ribbon-cutting ceremony were Mayor of Fingal County Council, Cllr Cian O’Callaghan, Alan Farrell TD, Cllr Michael O’Donovan, Cllr Anthony Lavin and model Hannah May Devane.

Addressing staff and customers, Mayor O’Callaghan said the extension of the store was a welcome boost for employment in the local area and represented a vote of confidence in the retail potential of Swords.

The store extension will accommodate a premium cosmetic hall, a range of children’s clothing, and a new range of baby bedding, travel and bath products.

The newly extended Boots store in the Pavilions Centre is open Monday-Tuesday from 9am-7pm; Wednesday-Friday from 9am-9pm; on Saturday from 9am-7pm; and on Sunday from 10am-7pm.
