A UNIQUE company that helps other businesses to run smoother has opened a new, next-generation

‘App Haus’ office at the Citywest Business Campus.

Officially opened by the Minister for Communications, Energy and Natural Resources, Pat Rabbitte, SAP also opened its doors to a select group of Ireland’s most promising high-potential start-up companies in the software sector to officially mark the launch of its Start-Up Focus programme.

The programme now comes to Ireland for the first time as part of SAP’s strategic efforts to work and engage with start-up companies in major innovation hubs around the world.

SAP is a leading player in Ireland’s ICT sector and continuously develops its Irish operations by highly innovative means.

As market leader in enterprise application software, SAP helps companies of all sizes and industries to run better.

The opening of App Haus and the launch of the SAP Start-Up Focus programme follows on from SAP’s recent announcement of a e110 million investment at its Dublin and Galway operations with the creation of 250 new jobs.

Minister Rabbitte said he was delighted to officially open the App Haus and to launch the SAP Start-Up Focus programme.

“I wish to offer the continued support of the Government to SAP as it continues to grow in Ireland,

Barry O’Leary, the CEO of IDA Ireland, said the App Haus was a welcome addition to SAP’s Irish operations in Dublin.

“Ireland’s ICT sector is of paramount importance to our foreign direct investment portfolio and to see SAP evolving in such an innovative manner with the App Haus concept is very much in keeping with IDA’s strategy,

? he said.

“I look forward to witnessing the development of App Haus and offer the continued support of IDA Ireland to SAP.
