FEARLESS fundraisers abseiled down Joseph Plunkett
Tower in Ballymun last recently to raise money for a school field trip to
Scotland.

One hundred students and teachers from Trinity
Comprehensive School took to the last remaining 15-storey tower block to
bravely scale down the side of the building from the roof.

The fearless bunch hope to raise enough money to send
students to Scotland to complete the Great Glen Way Walk.

The students hope to complete the 73-mile walk along
the Caledonian Canal as part of their Gaisce President’s Award efforts.

Teacher praised all those who help to organise the
abseiling event which took place on Thursday, March 22.

“We are very proud of our students for all the work
that has gone into this and it will indeed be a momentous occasion for them,

he stated.

For the fourth year running, the students were in the
safe hands of Carlingford Adventure Centre, who led their expertise to ensure a
safe and successful event.

The students got their taste for heights last year
when they visited the centre for an abseiling training session.
