Rebecca enjoys latest search for TV love

Rebecca Lee participated in two TV dating shows.

A fun-loving radio presenter has told how she tried to
banish the blues after breaking up with the boyfriend she met on a reality TV
dating series by taking part in another live dating show.

Rebecca Lee (25), from Dun Laoghaire, told Southside
People last year how she was the only one of 18 contestants that participated
in RTE’s ‘One Night Stand’ to end up in
a relationship with another contestant on the programme.

Rebecca, who works as a presenter on Q102 FM, said
that despite her disappointment at the break up after seven months she was
determined to have some more fun.

And that is why she decided to take part in another TV
dating series entitled ‘Take Me Out’ that was recently filmed and will be
broadcast in September.

“We went out for about seven months,

? Rebecca
recalled.

“It ended suddenly and I was a bit down heartened about it so I
decided to go for the other show as a sort of pick me up.

On ‘Take Me Out’ the female participants are
introduced to four single men and decide whether they want to go out with them
or not.

Each girl stands behind a podium and if she doesn’t like
what she sees, she presses her buzzer to turn off a light, indicating her lack
of interest.

If more than two girls want to date the same guy then
he decides who he goes out with and the date takes place immediately after the
show.

Rebecca explained that she didn’t succeed in hooking
up with any of the men on the show this time but said she wasn’t disappointed
as she didn’t take it as seriously the second time around.

“The first two guys that came on the stage, I thought
were absolutely gorgeous,

? she revealed.

“But because I had just got on the
show I thought I’d wait. So I hung on for a while and when I saw one guy at the
end who I really liked I put myself forward for him but he buzzed me off.

“I wasn’t even taking it that seriously,

? she
added. I was more in it for the fun
factor.

However, Rebecca feels that her latest foray into TV
dating has boosted her confidence and made her more aware of the qualities she
is seeking in a man.

“I would say I am a lot more confident after the
show,

? she declared.

“I would say I have a better idea of what I am looking for
in a guy.
