Fingal firm wins top national award

A DUBLIN 15 based company scooped the award for the
Best New Business at the 15th Annual National Enterprise Awards, which were
held in Dublin last week.

Blanchardstown based FleetConnect, a provider of
wireless communication products and services, which was established in 2008 was
the worthy winner of the award.

The company, which was founded by Patrick Cotter, now
employs five people on a full-time basis and has installed broadband systems
for Irish Rail, Bus Ã?ireann and Translink in addition to other transport
providers.

The company is supported by Fingal County Enterprise
Board and recently established an office in Birmingham with further plans to
expand into the UK and European markets.

The awards are aimed at recognizing the achievements
of Ireland’s micro enterprises.

Oisin Geoghegan, CEO of Fingal County Enterprise
Board, was among those who congratulated Patrick Cotter on his company’s
achievement.

“FleetConnect, in a relatively short time, has
become a market leader in wireless communication,

? he stated.

“Patrick’s product innovation, his market knowledge
and sales acumen have resulted in his company securing a large proportion of
the Irish market with focus now turning to export.

“FleetConnect is an excellent representative of Irish
enterprise and I am delighted that it received recognition for its
achievements.
