Digital media learners hold exhibition
Dublin People 19 Nov 2011
EARLY School leavers from the north inner city held a
public photographic exhibition at the CHQ Building in the International
Financial Services Centre (IFSC) recently.

The two-day exhibition displayed 22 images as taken by
11 Digital Media learners from the FAS funded North Wall Community Training
Centre (CTC).
Tony O’Dwyer, associate director of KPMG and
chairperson of the North Wall CTC, launched the exhibition.
“The digital media studies course aims to equip
learners with the skills and knowledge to enable them to use digital devices
such as the latest smartphones, digital video technology and digital audio
devices,
? said Mr O’Dwyer.
“I commend everybody’s contribution to this excellent
exhibition.
“Let me wish each and every learner well in their
future – the world of Digital Media is a growth area and opportunities abound.
?
The work displayed in the exhibition led to
certification and learners were presented with FETAC Certificates at Levels 3
and 5 in Digital Photography.
Those attending the launch were so impressed with the
photographs that a number were sold straight away.
Trevor Moore, general manager of North Wall CTC, said
the exhibition was the culmination of months of hard work across a range of
Digital Media modules.
“North Wall CTC has been one of the first community
training organisations to offer a dedicated Digital Media course to early
school leavers,
? stated Mr Moore.
“I am proud to say the course has been a huge success
and full credit to the learners for their dedication and creativity.
