A BENEFIT night is being held this Thursday (November
24) at the Portmarnock Sports and Leisure Centre (PSLC) to raise funds for the
family of Jack Murphy.

Jack (8), from Swords, is currently being treated at
Our Lady’s Hospital for Sick Children, Crumlin, after being diagnosed with his
illness last September.

Aslan are taking time out of writing and recording
their studio album to show their support at this gig.

Support on the night comes from local Portmarnock
band, Machine Gun Baby.

The organisers are having a sponsored leg/chest wax
and head shave on the night, but due to time constraints will only be able to
facilitate a few people.

There will be a second night held in Fowler’s Pub,
Malahide shortly after the Portmarnock gig. The organisers will be handing out
sponsorship cards on the night for the second date, which is to be confirmed.

98FM’s Dermot and Dave will be MC-ing the auction on
the night in Portmarnock and some top prizes have been lined up.
