NORTHSIDERS
have a last chance to get their nominations in for the EBS Community Fund after
the deadline was extended to this Friday (November 11).

EBS
is asking people across Dublin to nominate their local cause to be in with the
chance to win

?¬10,000 from the fund.

They
want to hear from people nominating their favourite community group, club or
cause.

Nominations
are open to all members of the public and can be made by calling into any EBS
office or online at www.ebs.ie. Entries will be accepted up until November 11.

Each EBS office will select one group, club or
cause from their community to receive their e500 donation from the fund. In
addition one EBS Community Fund recipient from each county will be selected to
go forward and represent their county and be in with a chance of winning the

?¬10,000 in funding. A public online vote will decide who the overall winner
will be.

Speaking at the launch, Aidan Power, Head of
Marketing and Communications, said:

“The EBS Community Fund was established
four years ago. Since its launch we have been able to provide funding to over
500 community groups, clubs and causes.

“Each
year the nominations exceed our expectations and it’s very encouraging to see
the great work that is happening around this country and that community spirit
is alive and well.

“We’re delighted to be able to launch the fund
again this year,

? he added.

“Due to demand we’re extending the nomination
deadline to November 11. I’d encourage people to nominate a cause they think is
worthy. We’re looking forward to reading all the nominations.
