THREE
Northside children have been selected to appear on the

‘Smiles for Crumlin’
2012 calendar.

The
faces of Jack Foley (seven months), from Balbriggan, Hugo Turley (eight
months), from Castleknock, and Maya Dowling-Tandia (eight months), from
Clontarf, will adorn the calendar, which is a fundraising initiative by Cow
& Gate in aid of Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital Crumlin.

For
every photograph uploaded to the website Cow & Gate have donated e1 to Our
Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin, as part of a e25,000 donation they are
making to the hospital. All funds from the sale of the calendar will also go to
the hospital.

Jack,
Hugo and Maya were selected from over 2,500 different smiles received from
around the country. Eleven of the chosen smiles were selected by a judging
panel including representatives from Children’s Medical and Research
Foundation, Crumlin, design agency Strategem and Cow & Gate. The 12th
photograph was chosen as part of a Supervalu road show.

Jaime
O’Shea, marketing director of Cow & Gate, said they were delighted with the
success of the campaign to date.

“We
would like to thank all of the mums and dads, friends and families that have
uploaded their

‘Smiles for Crumlin’ and helped to raise funds for Our Lady’s
Children’s Hospital Crumlin,

? Mr O’Shea said.

“Now
that the final selection of smiles has been made we hope people will continue
to support the campaign’s success by buying the calendar.

Edel
O’Malley, Director of Development at the Children’s Medical & Research
Foundation at Our Lady’s Hospital for Sick Children, Crumlin, said it can prove
challenging to constantly seek novel ways of fundraising for the hospital.

“Cow
& Gate have made this a very special campaign which has mobilised the
country to support all those who have been touched by Crumlin, bringing

‘smiles’ to the faces of families countrywide,

? she stated.
