Irish Wheelchair Association to hold first ever Corporate Wheelchair Basketball Tournament

Irish Wheelchair Association (IWA) will hold its first ever Corporate Wheelchair Basketball Tournament, bringing businesses together for a day of sport, inclusion, competition and impact, on Friday November 27.

The tournament will be held at the prestigious Sport Ireland Campus in Blanchardstown and gives businesses the chance to experience one of the most exciting and fast-paced Paralympic sports in the world first-hand.

The event promises to be a unique and memorable team-building experience, while also providing an opportunity for businesses to support the work that Irish Wheelchair Association does in communities across Ireland.

A team package costs €5,000 and allows teams of up to 10 people to compete.

The entry fee covers everything including wheelchair basketball chairs, a welcome pack for each team member, an on-court briefing, support from IWA-Sport players and coaches and an inspirational opening address.

All participants will receive a certificate, and finalists will receive a medal. The winning team will receive a visit from an IWA athlete or representative to their workplace.

Colleagues not participating on the day are also encouraged to attend as spectators to cheer their co-workers on.
