The Law Society of Ireland has partnered with MyHome to help homeowners sell their homes with “more confidence and fewer delays.”

A new six-part podcast series, “How to Sell your Home”, launched on Monday (26th), alongside regular online articles designed to support homeowners in achieving a seamless selling experience.

There are currently 11,228 properties for sale in Ireland and hundreds more expected to come to market over the next few months.

Through this new partnership, the Law Society and MyHome are providing practical advice to help homeowners get sale ready in 2026 and beyond.

The “How to Sell your Home” podcast explores key questions facing homeowners looking to sell up, including:

  • When is a good time to sell?
  • How should I best prepare for the sale?
  • How can I avoid delays when selling my home?
  • How to navigate probate and inheritance?

President of the Law Society, Rosemarie Loftus, said: “A house purchase is one of the largest financial decisions you can make – and selling it can be just as important.

“It can be stressful and daunting, but it can also be a really exciting time when you and your home are ready for the next chapter.

“With legal insights and informative articles, we are aiming to demystify and simplify the selling process, by answering the legal questions you don’t want to ask – and you didn’t know you needed to ask.

“This partnership is about helping consumers to make informed choices when it comes to the current property market, so they can have a smooth and seamless selling experience.

“There are many complex layers to selling or buying a house, but with the right guidance from your solicitor and property team, this process can be made easier.

Joanne Geary, Managing Director of MyHome, said: “At MyHome, we know how often delays and obstacles can arise when selling a property, so it’s not a surprise that the process can feel overwhelming for many homeowners.

“Our partnership with the Law Society is designed to help people avoid pitfalls by giving them a better understanding of what the journey towards selling a home is like.

“By combining our experience with the Law Society’s legal expertise, we want to help sellers approach the process with a greater confidence in making informed decisions from the very start”.
