Gardaí seize a Glock 17 handgun, cocaine and cash in Ballyfermot

Gardaí attached to the Drugs Unit Serious Crime South Clondalkin functional area conducted a search operation in Ballyfermot, on Wednesday January 7 as part of ongoing investigations into the sale and supply of drugs in the area.
A Garda spokesperson said:
“A domestic residence was searched and a Glock 17 handgun was seized along with ammunition. Gardaí also seized suspected cocaine with an estimated street value of €25,000, €370 in cash and a number of electronic devices of evidential value.
“An adult male in his late teens was arrested and has since been charged and appeared before Court.
“He is remanded to appear before Court 3, Criminal Courts of Justice on the 22nd of January 2026.
“Two adult males (aged in their teens) and one female (aged in her 30s) were also arrested.
“They have all since been released and files will be prepared for the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).
“The drugs seized will be forwarded to Forensic Science Ireland (FSI) for analysis.
“Investigations are ongoing.”
