Train driver Adam’s Christmas Wish is a festive hit!

Northside Dub and Connolly Station-based train driver Adam McEvoy has a “Christmas Wish”, that his new Christmas song of that name brings his customers and colleagues alike a smile this festive season!

Working with Iarnród Éireann and the Railway Preservation Society of Ireland’s Santa Express trains, he now stars in a railway-themed Christmas video for his song that you can hear by clicking this link: YouTube: https://youtu.be/21PhX4vBdyY

Adam (pictured above), who joined Iarnród Éireann in 2022 as part of that year’s driver recruitment, has been playing and singing music for 23 years.

He explains the song was inspired by a Christmas while working in Germany over a decade ago, when he thought he wouldn’t be able to make it home to see his loved ones.

He says “so I sat alone in my room, snow all around the place, and I couldn’t get home to my family. 

“And I was wishing and wishing on every star I saw. 

“And then randomly I got sent tickets from my sister, and my boss said you’re off for Christmas, so I ended up getting home for Christmas and surprised the whole family.”
