Dublin People Group is collaborating with the Ukrainian Center for International Communications Cideips to provide information regarding ongoing Russian aggression in Ukraine.
We are proud to work with them in order to provide the international community with accurate, firsthand information about the devastating effects of Russian actions on Ukraine.
Over the period of May 18–20, the Russian army carried out a series of targeted artillery strikes on residential neighborhoods in Kherson.
The attacks hit the Central, Dniprovskyi, and Korabelnyi districts of the city.
As a result of these assaults, one civilian woman was killed and at least ten others were injured.
On May 18, in the Central district of Kherson, enemy shells damaged at least six private homes, a garage, and a passenger car.
Windows were shattered and roofs destroyed in the residential buildings.
Fortunately, no residents were injured. Utility workers, gas technicians, and emergency crews responded on-site.
Later that day, around 10:20 p.m., the Dniprovskyi district came under artillery fire. Russian forces struck residential homes.
One of the houses was hit directly, killing a 75-year-old woman.
Three other Kherson residents suffered blast injuries of varying severity—two were hospitalized, while another woman received medical assistance at the scene.
On May 20, the Korabelnyi district of Kherson also came under enemy artillery attack. One shell exploded near a multi-story apartment building.
The blast shattered windows and damaged the building’s facade and balconies. Two residents – a 45-year-old man and a 68-year-old woman- were injured.
That same morning, Russian forces continued shelling the area. Five more Kherson residents were wounded.
One of them, a 76-year-old man, was hospitalized in moderate condition.
