Line-up announced for Africa Day 2025 in the Royal Hospital Kilmainham

The line-up for Africa Day 2025 Dublin on Sunday, May 18 at the Royal Hospital Kilmainham (RHK) has been announced, including headline acts Caleb Kunle and the Discovery Gospel Choir.

Over 50 performers, artists and cultural groups are set to take part in a special celebration of African cultures as Africa Day returns to the Royal Hospital Kilmainham for the third year.
The Discovery Gospel Choir, Caleb Kunle, Eje Blakk, Tony Oscar, Boye PapaGee & Colours Afrobeat, and Manden Express will provide entertainment on the main stage.
On the Rhythm Stage, Africa Day ambassador Lapree Lala will perform a dance set and workshop with her dance school Southside Moves. Afrokids Ireland, RJ the DJ, Umurava, Wadajir Somali Association Ireland, Official PAK, Yoruba Cultural Network, African Queens, Ghana Union Ireland and more will take to the stage.
In the Spoken Word tent, Black and Irish will host a live podcast and panel talk, while other acts includinh Pathways International Mission and Nyanduri- Zimbabwe Community.

In addition to the performances, there will also be a lively and interactive ‘Cultural Village’ to showcase art and culture from across the African continent.
Among those participating in the cultural village are the Liberian Association Ireland, Zambia Ireland Association, Image of Africa, and the Association of Tanzanians in Ireland and many more.
The event will also offer a children’s entertainment area with interactive and educational games as well as numerous food stalls.
Following its success last year, Africa Day Dublin will also include a Best Dressed competition which is guaranteed to bring glamour and style to the day.
The Africa Day event at the RHK will be organised in partnership between the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and Dublin City Council.
The event kick starts a series of nationwide Africa Day events.
The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade has partnered with all 31 local authorities to support a wide range of cultural, artistic, and family-friendly Africa Day events in every county in Ireland over the next few weeks.
These will include contemporary African/Irish culture, as well as family fun days, fashion, art, film, music, dance, and food events, which will take place in towns and cities across Ireland.
