Dubliners given major Dáil and Seanad roles for Fianna Fáil

Taoiseach Micheál Martin has announced that Dubliners will play major roles in the Dáil and Seanad as spokespeople.

While Jack Chambers, Darragh O’Brien and Jim O’Callaghan are representing Dublin at a Cabinet level, a number of prominent Dublin TDs who didn’t make the cut at Cabinet level have now been given roles as spokespeople in the Dáil and Seanad.
Dublin North-West TD Paul McAuliffe will serve as the Dáil spokesperson on disabillity, Dublin Rathdown TD Shay Brennan will be on the Finance brief, Dublin Mid-West TD Shane Moynihan is spokesperson on transport, Dún Laoghaire TD Cormac Devlin has responsibility for Northern Ireland and UK relations and the Disapora, Dublin South-West TD John Lahart compliments his high-profile Dáil committee chair on Foreign Affairs and Trade with the spokesperson brief on the EU, Dublin Bay North’s Tom Brabazon will be on justice, and Dublin South Central TD Catherine Ardagh will serve as the Dáil spokesperson on Social Protection.
On the Seanad front, Senator Lorraine Clifford-Lee will be the Seanad spokesperson on Climate, Environment and Energy, Southside Senator Teresa Costello will be on the Health brief and Dublin Central’s Mary Fizpatrick will be the Seanad spokesperson on Dublin, the Taskforce, as well as local government and heritage.
