Renewed witness appeal – Fatal assault South Anne Street/Duke Lane Upper

Gardaí in Pearse Street say they are continuing to investigate all of the circumstances surrounding the fatal assault of a man on South Anne Street/Duke Lane Upper, on Saturday, February 15.

A Garda spokesperson said anyone who may have been  in the vicinity of South Anne Street/Duke Lane Upper, between 2:30am and 3:30am on the night in question is asked to make contact with the investigation team.

“To date, a number of individuals have been arrested and have appeared before court in connection with this investigation,” the spokesperson said

“Investigating Gardaí would like to thank the public for their assistance thus far and are renewing their appeal for witnesses to come forward.

“Anyone who may have been present in the vicinity of South Anne Street/Duke Lane Upper, Dublin 2 between 2:30am and 3:30am on Saturday, 15th February 2025 is asked to please make contact with the investigation team.

“Gardaí are particularly interested in speaking with anyone who may have information regarding this incident or has any mobile phone footage recorded at the relevant locations.
“Any road users that may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and who were travelling in the Dawson Street and St. Stephen’s Green area at the time are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact Pearse Street Garda Station on 01 666 9000, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda station.”
