Astronomy Ireland has a very special ONLINE New Year Public Lecture for everyone in Ireland, it will be given by Dr. Peter Allan (Rutherford Appleton Laboratory, Oxford) who will explore our knowledge (or lack of knowledge) of three of the most baffling things in our universe.

Dark Matter and Dark Energy is the most exotic phenomena in the universe and the subject of intense research worldwide.

Dr Peter Allan is a world expert in these matters and has kindly agreed to give the Astronomy Ireland New Year Public lecture at a level suitable for families children and those with no knowledge of science.

This is a popular talk aimed at families and those with no scientific education by a world class expert in this field.
