Dublin Simon Community is calling on Dublin schools to take part in the 41st Annual Home Run, set to take place on Saturday, 5th October in Phoenix Park.

This fun-filled event invites participants of all ages and abilities to walk, jog, or run a new 5km loop through the scenic park, all while raising much-needed funds to help end homelessness.

This year, schools are particularly encouraged to rally their students, staff, and community to join the Home Run. The school with the most participants will receive a special visit from renowned rugby player Will Connors, and the school that raises the most funds will be awarded an engraved trophy in recognition of their efforts by the Dublin Simon Community team.

In addition to the 5km run, the event will feature a “Wellness Day Out” at the start and finish line, complete with live music, food trucks, children’s entertainment, wellness activities, and more, ensuring a fantastic day out for participants and spectators alike.

Schools interested in participating should email [email protected] for more information on how to register their cohort. Early registration is encouraged as spaces fill up quickly. The funds raised will directly support Dublin Simon Community’s essential services, including emergency accommodation, outreach, and long-term housing solutions for individuals and families experiencing homelessness.

Sign up for the 2024 Home Run here and help Dublin Simon Community raise essential funds and change lives.
