Shelbourne Park to host UEFA Europa League Final ‘Fan Meeting Point’

The 2023/24 UEFA Europa League Final will take place in the Aviva Stadium this Wednesday, May 22, and Greyhound Racing Ireland has announced that Shelbourne Park Greyhound Stadium are set to host their first ever ‘Fan Meeting Point’.

Football enthusiasts will converge at Shelbourne Park, commencing mid-morning, as the stadium gates swing open to welcome German supporters of Bayer Leverkusen, who recently made history as they set a new European record of 49 games unbeaten.

Favourites Leverkusen are chasing a treble of titles, having recently been crowned as the new Bundesliga champions while their rivals Atalanta will be the underdogs heading into the match having knocked out Premier League heavyweights Liverpool and three-time finalists Olympique de Marseille in previous rounds.

Straight from Dublin Airport circa 11am, fans will dive headfirst into an atmosphere pulsating with excitement, camaraderie, and unyielding team spirit. Setting the stage for an unforgettable prelude to the final showdown, Shelbourne Park will be a hive of activity, boasting an array of entertainment on the in-field of the greyhound track under the fabulous Dublin sunshine:

Those fans lucky enough to have a ticket to the 2023/24 UEFA Europa League final will leave Shelbourne Park around 6.30pm to do a fan march to watch the match between Atalanta and Bayer Leverkusen in Aviva Stadium. Kick-off is 8pm.
