Celebrations in Perrystown following €1 million win
Padraig Conlon 02 Jan 2024A local shop in Dublin 12 was today revealed as the selling location of the €1 million winning ticket in the Millionaire Raffle draw.
Staff and customers were thrilled when the news was announced at the Mace store on Muckross Avenue in Perrystown.
Shop owner Sean Mooney was over the moon to start the year with a call from the National Lottery.
“Myself and my wife have owned the store here since the Lotto began back in the late 80s so we were delighted to hear that we sold a ticket worth €1 million,” he said.
“There’s been a buzz around the place all morning with customers popping in and seeing the champagne and the photos being taken.
“We’ve even had someone come in to check their ticket this morning and it turned out to have a €500 prize on it so lots of good news to start the year with.
“Here’s hoping that the top prize winner checks their ticket soon too – they could be sitting at home with a ticket worth €1 million and have no idea at all just what they have won,” he said.
The National Lottery are continuing to urge Millionaire Raffle ticket holders to check their tickets very carefully from the New Year’s Eve draw as the top prize winner is yet to come forward.
The winning ticket number which earned the top prize for the Dublin player was?218960.
The winner, who now has a ticket worth a life-changing €1 million, is advised to sign the back of their ticket and make contact with the prize claims team on 1800 666 222 or email [email protected] and arrangements will be made for them to claim their prize in Lotto HQ.
