Mary Lou McDonald says she is recovering from surgery

Sinn Féin leader and Dublin Central TD Mary Lou McDonald has said she is recovering from surgery. 

McDonald tweeted she underwent surgery last Friday, and thanked the staff at the Rotunda Hospital for their “excellent care and kindness.”

The politician added she expects to be “back in action in a number of weeks and is “recovering well.”
