ALDI opens new store in Adamstown, Co. Dublin

ALDI’s has announced the opening of a new store in Adamstown, Co. Dublin, creating 30 new permanent jobs in the local area.

Located at The Crossings in Adamstown, the store was officially opened today in the presence of the local team and store manager Dmitri Sakovits.

The new store is ALDI’s 25th to open in Dublin which now operates 156 stores around Ireland.

This new store comes shortly after ALDI announced plans to expand its store network in Dublin to include €73 million investment in 11 new stores in the county over the next five years.

The new stores will see the creation of 350 full-time permanent jobs and 550 construction jobs over the period.

The retailer currently employs 673 people in Dublin with a €20.3 million total salary spend across its 25 stores in the county.

Speaking at the Adamstown store opening, Dmitri Sakovits, ALDI Adamstown Store Manager said: “This new €2.9 million store in Adamstown is the latest step in ALDI’s expansion programme and I’m delighted to open our 25th Dublin store and our 156th store in Ireland today.

“This new store, and the 30 new jobs created, will support our ambition to deliver value to the people of Dublin at the locations most convenient to them.”
