Avoca colleagues proudly presented their charity partner, The Gavin Glynn Foundation with a cheque worth over €35,000 last Friday, March 3.

Avoca partnered with The Gavin Glynn Foundation in December 2022 to produce a double wick charity candle and hosted two ‘Carols by Candlelight’ concerts to raise much needed funds for the charity.

All proceeds from the sale of the candles and concerts will go towards helping families of children battling cancer to travel overseas for treatment not available in Ireland.

The charity believes that all children with cancer deserve the best care, wherever in the world that might be and Avoca are there to support them in their mission.

Speaking about the cheque presentation, John Glynn, Founder of The Gavin Glynn Foundation said: ‘The Gavin Glynn Foundation is so delighted and thankful for the money that has been raised by Avoca and all the customers from the Christmas campaign.

“This money will go towards helping families that need to travel overseas for specialist childhood cancer treatment that is not available in Ireland.”

The Team at Avoca were delighted to present the cheque to founders John and Jayne Glynn last Friday. Shane Flynn, Managing Director spoke about the charity partnership:

“At Avoca we are proud to stand by such a deserving and worthy charity like The Gavin Glynn Foundation.

“The meaningful impact this charity has on the lives of countless Irish families is truly inspiring.

“A special mention to the founders John and Jayne Glynn who have been incredible to work alongside.

“We would also like to extend our gratitude to those involved and to anyone who purchased a candle or visited one of the Carols by Candlelight event to support the charity.”

Avoca have been working with The Gavin Glynn Foundation since last December and are happy to announce they will be continuing their partnership in 2023.

John Glynn adds: “We are also delighted that Avoca will be extending the charity partnership with The Gavin Glynn Foundation for the remainder of 2023. We have really enjoyed working with all the staff in Avoca.

“They have all gone above and beyond with their support for our foundation and all the childhood cancer families that we are helping.

“We are really looking forward to working with them throughout this year.”
