Catherine Kenny appointed CEO of Dublin Simon Community
Gary Ibbotson 05 Jan 2023Catherine Kenny has been appointed as the new CEO of Dublin Simon Community, the charity has announced.
In a statement, Dublin Simon Community said Kenny brings “a wealth of frontline and administrative experience to the position, having worked with the homeless population in various roles at Dublin Simon Community for over 20 years, in addition to chairing the Dublin Homeless Network.
“Catherine joined Dublin Simon Community in 2001 as a project worker and held a number of positions before becoming Head of Housing in 2007.
“She then progressed to Head of Property and Quality, with responsibility for the development and management of the Dublin Simon Community accommodation portfolio.
“During this time, she built on her Diploma in Social Studies to achieve an Honours Degree in Industrial Relations and Human Resource Management BA (Hons) and a Masters Degree in Strategic Management.
“Catherine has been committed to sectoral engagement, having been involved in numerous initiatives such as the Sectoral Accommodation Co-ordination Group (Dublin Region Homeless Executive), Long Term Accommodation Group (Dublin Region Homeless Executive), and as Chairperson of the Dublin Homeless Network.”
