Cherry Orchard: Gardaí arrest four juveniles in connection with ramming incident

Gardaí investigating the incident which occured in Cherry Orchard last week where a Garda car was rammed by a joy rider have arrested four male juveniles.

In a statement, a Garda spokesperson said: “An operation was carried out earlier this morning, Monday, October 3 by personnel from Ballyfermot, Clondalkin and Rathcoole Garda stations.

“All four are currently detained at a number of Garda stations under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.

“Gardaí continue to appeal to anyone with information to contact the incident room at Ballyfermot Garda Station on 01 666 7200, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda station.”

Footage of the incident was widely spread on social media with local politicians calling on Dublin City Council and the Government to ramp up their efforts to quash anti-social and criminal behaviour in the area.
