25 shortlisted finalists from Dublin in the Irish Professional Photographer and Videographer of the Year Awards 2022

Taking place in Clontarf Castle Hotel on Sunday, April 3 at 7pm, it promises to be an exciting event for the photography and videography industry.
56 professional photographers and videographers have been shortlisted as finalists across 14 different categories from Open Creative and Fine Art to Portrait and Landscape.
The judging panel, which consists of national and international photographers, looked at over 900 images and 44 videos to create the shortlist.
The most coveted awards being presented on the night, along with the category award winners, will include Photographer of the Year, Wedding Photographer of the Year, and Videographer of the Year.
The Dublin finalist contingent is strong with 25 of this year’s photography finalists located from all across Dublin (full list below).
Nine photographers shortlisted are from North Dublin including, Brendan Lyon from Clontarf, Deirdre O’Keeffe and Nicola Webster both from Raheny, Denise Canon, Maria Rusk and John Gillooly from Donabate, Elaine Barker from Artane, Greta Dominaityte from Glasnevin, and Mahra Valseca from Baldoyle.
There are 11 shortlisted finalists from South Dublin including Ailbe Collins from Saggart, Andy Davies from Tallaght, Donal Murphy from Dublin 2, Emma Loughran from Clonskeagh, Emma Russell from Firhouse, Emmylie Cruz from Dublin 8, Karen Stein from Lucan, Lucy Nuzum from Glenageary, Naoise Culhane from Stillorgan, Peter Gordon from Booterstown, and Roger O’Sullivan from Dublin 6.
There are three photographers that have been shortlisted from Dun Laoghaire – Annie Kheffache, Enda Cavanagh and Livia Figueirdo, and two photographers shortlisted are based in the West of Dublin – Linda Clarke from Newcastle and Paul O’Connell from Ashtown
Set up in 1949, The Irish Professional Photographers & Videographers Association (IPPVA) is a non-profit association committed to providing education and support and promoting excellence in photography and videography.
The Irish Professional Photographer and Videographer of the Year Awards is the main event of the IPPVA calendar.
The awards are judged anonymously and based on a criterion of technical excellence, impact, and creativity.
For photography the categories are architectural, commercial, fine art, landscape, newborn, open creative, portrait, press, wedding classic, wedding creative, and wedding documentary.
For videography the categories are wedding, commercial, and open creative.
The winners of 14 categories will be announced on the night, along with Photographer of the Year, Wedding Photographer of the Year, and Videographer of the Year.
